Julio Cortázar
Julio Cortázar (1914-1984) was an Argentine novelist and master writer of short stories who was one of the key authors of the boom of Latin American Literature in the 1960s. He is considered one of the most innovative authors of his time for his breaking of the classical conventions of writing. One of his most famous work, Rayuela (1963), is known for its innovative storytelling where readers can decide for themselves the order in which they read the story, challenging conventional storytelling methods. In 1951, he moved to France in response to the government of Juan Perón and got his French citizenship.
